Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Willingness to travel for project work, including periodic overnight and extended assignments
Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections, primarily at oil and gas sites.
- Perform field investigations including soil and groundwater sampling and stream profiling.
- Support Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Subsurface Investigations.
- Assist with soil investigations, infiltration testing, and contractor oversight.
- Process and reduce laboratory data for reporting.
- Assist with preparation of permit applications and compliance documentation.
- Research and apply environmental regulations with senior staff guidance.
- Perform drilling inspections, including geotechnical borehole logging and log preparation (gINT experience a plus).
- Perform construction inspection services of geotechnical engineering design for well pads, access road, temporary stockpiles, compressor stations, launcher/receiver pads, AST pads, and a variety of earthwork structures designed to support Oil & Gas operations in the tri-state area.
Desired Qualifications
- One or more years of environmental consulting experience
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Safeland or equivalent onshore energy industry training
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training
- Experience with gINT software for borehole logging
- Interest in developing expertise across multidisciplinary environmental projects
