Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Willingness to travel for project work, including periodic overnight and extended assignments
Responsibilities
Conduct field inspections, primarily at oil and gas sites.
Perform field investigations including soil and groundwater sampling and stream profiling.
Support Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Subsurface Investigations.
Assist with soil investigations, infiltration testing, and contractor oversight.
Process and reduce laboratory data for reporting.
Assist with preparation of permit applications and compliance documentation.
Research and apply environmental regulations with senior staff guidance.
Perform drilling inspections, including geotechnical borehole logging and log preparation (gINT experience a plus).
Perform construction inspection services of geotechnical engineering design for well pads, access road, temporary stockpiles, compressor stations, launcher/receiver pads, AST pads, and a variety of earthwork structures designed to support Oil & Gas operations in the tri-state area.
Desired Qualifications
One or more years of environmental consulting experience
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Safeland or equivalent onshore energy industry training
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training
Experience with gINT software for borehole logging
Interest in developing expertise across multidisciplinary environmental projects
