In SAP programme management at PwC, you will focus on overseeing and managing large-scale SAP implementation projects within an organisation. You will work closely with business leaders, project managers, and technical teams to define project objectives, develop project plans, allocate resources, monitor progress, and mitigate risks. Working in SAP programme management, you will coordinate multiple projects, resources, and stakeholders to enable successful delivery of SAP solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Strategic Alignment
- Drive strategic programme management across a range of large-scale SAP S/4 Hana Implementation projects.
- Align projects and programs with the overall strategic objectives of the organization
- Establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee the portfolio of projects to optimize resource allocation
- Governance and Standards
- Focus on implementing consistent project management methodologies and ensuring the successful delivery of projects in terms of time, cost and quality.
- Implement best practices in programme and project management.
- Resource Management
- Optimize the allocation of resources across projects to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Forecast resource needs and plan for skill development within the project teams.
- Project Oversight
- Implement systems for monitoring project progress and generating regular reports for stakeholders
- Oversee the identification, analysis, and management of project issues and risks.
- Project Methodologies
- Choose and implement appropriate project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) based on project requirements
- Provide training and guidance on project management methodologies to project managers and teams.
- Performance Metrics
- Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and performance of projects.
- Conduct benchmarking against industry standards to identify areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Develop communication plans to keep stakeholders informed about project progress, changes, and challenges.
- Provide concise and relevant updates to executive leadership.
- Continuous Improvement
- Establish mechanisms for gathering feedback from project teams to identify areas for improvement.
- Continuously optimize project management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Training and Development
- Identify skill gaps within project teams and implement training programs to address them.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to project managers and team members.
- People Management
- Build a team from the ground up including involvement in recruitment, selection and onboarding
- Lead teams to create a vision, coach and motivate team members to support an atmosphere of trust, diverse perspectives, creativity, and innovation. Additionally, shape broader decisions on talent strategy and talent development

Impact:
High degree of independence and influence over the Center partners and staff in the execution of the SAP delivery strategy. This role has Firm wide impact with global implications. The Leader is expected to establish and execute the activities that enable the behaviors, structures, systems and competencies required for the Firm to build a successful operating model. This individual must be an enabler and mission led and have the viewpoint and experience to work with other leaders in our business in ensuring effective operation of the model.
The role of a SAP PMO Director is pivotal in ensuring that an organization’s projects and initiatives are executed successfully, aligned with strategic objectives, and contribute to overall business success. The manager must possess a diverse set of skills, from leadership and communication to project management expertise and adaptability. By navigating challenges and implementing project management best practices, he/she can play a transformative role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization’s project management processes, ultimately contributing to its long-term success.
Professional and Educational Background:
- 20 years’ experience with strong background in Delivery Management, managing SAP Implementation programs
- Demonstrate thought leadership in driving program strategy, planning, execution and delivery ensuring alignment with the organizational goals and objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Technology or related field.
- Experience on program management tools like MS Project, JIRA. ADO etc
- Project Management certifications like PMP, SAP Activate or SAFE Agile is good to have.
