Requirements
  • A degree or master's degree in engineering; all disciplines are considered.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact at a variety of levels.
  • An analytical mindset and an interest in problem solving.
  • The ability to work effectively with others.
  • A proactive approach to working and learning.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of the industry.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft packages.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • The right to work in the United Kingdom by the start of employment and throughout the entirety of the graduate programme.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating team activities to ensure that the project is completed on budget and on time, in line with the agreed construction process.
  • Assist in ensuring that the project complies with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Assist the Project Manager with team management by advising on appropriate resourcing levels, effective performance management, employee development and motivation.
  • Take ownership of assigned work and adopt and promote Ferrovial Construction UK’s vision and values.
  • Adhere to safe working practice regulations on site and ensure that all staff comply with the requirements.
  • Assist with or, in some cases, take responsibility for day-to-day activities on major United Kingdom infrastructure projects.
  • Work under the supervision of Section or Project Managers and collaborate with the site team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Engineering experience.
  • A CSCS Card.
