Requirements
  • U.S. Persons status
  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA-Accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing of a state bar
  • At least 10+ years corporate law experience
  • Minimum of 5 years managing all aspects of company governance and regulatory activities
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace, defense, or other technical industries
  • Successful track record managing in-house personnel and outside counsel
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional and cross-border partners
  • Broad legal knowledge of government contracts, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, litigation, and intellectual property
Responsibilities
  • Provide legal counsel to leadership on strategies and risks
  • Represent and advise the company on engagements with counterparties
  • Serve as subject matter expert on corporate governance policies
  • Develop and implement risk management policies
  • Create, negotiate, review, and execute agreements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Direct development of legal processes and systems
  • Support identification and protection of intellectual property
  • Provide leadership to corporate legal team
  • Retain, direct, and review work of outside counsel
