Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in data engineering, database architecture, analytics engineering, or business intelligence, including at least 3 years in a data architecture or senior technical leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience designing enterprise data warehouses, lakehouses, or analytical platforms and migrating data from multiple operational systems.
  • Strong data-modeling expertise across conceptual, logical, and physical models, including dimensional modeling and normalized transactional designs.
  • Hands-on proficiency with SQL, relational databases, ETL/ELT patterns, orchestration, data quality, metadata, lineage, and BI semantic models.
  • Experience separating reporting workloads from high-volume transactional systems and designing for performance, resilience, scalability, and cost control.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data integration patterns, including APIs, replication, and change data capture.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present architecture decisions and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
  • Own the target-state data architecture and roadmap for a unified reporting and analytics platform across Cordance Commerce products.
  • Assess current transactional databases, data pipelines, reporting tools, standard BI reports, and customer-specific reports; document dependencies, duplication, performance risks, and migration constraints.
  • Define a shared enterprise data model, canonical business definitions, master-data strategy, and system-of-record ownership for core entities such as customer, item, store, employee, transaction, inventory, donation, processing, and e-commerce activity.
  • Design the separation of transactional and analytical workloads using fit-for-purpose patterns such as a cloud data warehouse or lakehouse; evaluate platforms including Snowflake and recommend the appropriate solution based on scale, security, cost, operability, and business needs.
  • Create the phased migration strategy for consolidating reporting from Solutions, Secure Retail, Upright, and Pearl Dive while maintaining business continuity and customer commitments.
  • Develop patterns and standards for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, semantic models, APIs, data quality, lineage, metadata, retention, archival, and observability.
  • Partner with BI professionals to rationalize the Solutions standard report catalog and reduce the support burden created by hundreds of Secure Retail customer-specific reports through reusable datasets, governed self-service analytics, and configurable reporting patterns.
  • Guide database administrators and engineering teams on database architecture, PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL modernization, replication or change-data-capture patterns, performance isolation, backup, recovery, and operational readiness.
  • Establish data governance practices covering data ownership, access controls, privacy, security, auditability, quality thresholds, and change management.
  • Lead technical discovery, architecture reviews, proofs of concept, and vendor evaluations; translate findings into actionable designs, sequencing, estimates, risks, and investment recommendations.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance to delivery teams, review implementation designs, and ensure new product capabilities align with the target architecture instead of creating additional data silos.
  • Enable trusted enterprise dashboards and cross-product reporting that support operational, customer, financial, and executive decision-making.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL, including modernization or migration initiatives.
  • Experience consolidating reporting platforms following acquisitions or across a multi-product SaaS portfolio.
  • Experience rationalizing large libraries of standard and customer-specific reports and enabling governed self-service analytics.
  • Familiarity with retail, point-of-sale, inventory, e-commerce, donation, or thrift/resale data domains.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, security, role-based access, audit, retention, and compliance practices.
  • Experience enabling machine learning, generative AI, or agentic AI use cases through governed enterprise data products.
  • Relevant cloud, Snowflake, data-management, or architecture certification is a plus.

  • AppsAnywhere joined on October 9, 2025, linking higher-ed delivery with LabStats analytics.
  • Cordance listed 18 open roles in June 2026, signaling active hiring across divisions.

What critics are saying

  • Rapid add-ons like Royal 4, RT Systems, and AppsAnywhere strain integration by 2027.

  • It specializes in sub-$10 million ARR vertical software, a crowded buyer-universe many PE firms ignore.

March 11, 2026 Seasoned pharmacy and healthcare technology leader to oversee clinical strategy, biostatistics and scientific innovation JUPITER, FL- March 12, 2026 - DoseMe, a global leader in model-informed precision dosing (MIPD) software, today announced the appointment of Richard Malone, PharmD, MHA, as Vice President, Clinical & Science. In this role, Malone will lead the company's clinical and scientific initiatives, including oversight of biostatistics, clinical content development, and alignment of scientific strategy with DoseMe's broader growth objectives, including integration of newly acquired capabilities from Firstline. The combined platform of DoseMe and Firstline unifies evidence-based antimicrobial selection with Bayesian model-informed precision dosing within a single, streamlined clinical workflow. Together, the integrated solution enables health systems to align stewardship strategy, prescribing guidance, and individualized dosing optimization to improve outcomes, reduce resistance risk, and enhance operational efficiency. "Richard's unique combination of frontline clinical expertise, operational leadership, and healthcare technology experience strengthens DoseMe's ability to deliver scientifically rigorous, clinically practical precision dosing solutions," said John Hardesky, CEO of DoseMe. "As we expand our platform with the integration of Firstline's clinical decision support capabilities, his leadership positions us to further advance Bayesian modeling and unified antimicrobial stewardship solutions for health systems worldwide." He will also play a key role in ensuring alignment between scientific innovation and the company's strategic roadmap. "I'm excited to join DoseMe at a time when precision dosing and model-informed drug therapy are becoming central to modern antimicrobial stewardship and patient safety," said Malone. "I look forward to strengthening the company's scientific foundation while supporting scalable growth." Most recently, Malone served as Vice President, Sales at Inovalon, where he led the Care Management business unit's national sales operations. Under his leadership, the team accelerated growth to $3.6 million in new annual contract value in 2024 and achieved greater than 100% net revenue retention, followed by 140% year-over-year ARR growth in the first half of 2025. Prior to Inovalon, Malone was president of McCreadie Group LLC, a healthcare software company acquired by Cordance Operations. During his tenure, the organization achieved 24% year-over-year growth and 28% EBITDA, while expanding its SaaS solutions supporting pharmaceutical research sites and pharmacy residency programs. Malone also brings deep academic medical center experience. He served for nearly a decade as Program Director of the Investigational Drug Service at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he led consolidation and expansion of research pharmacy services across the enterprise, improved quality metrics to over 99%, and transitioned the department to a positive operating margin within 12 months. Earlier in his career, he held executive pharmacy leadership roles including Director of Pharmacy at Centennial Medical Center and Maury Regional Medical Center, as well as Corporate Director of Pharmacy Operations for Vanguard Health Systems, overseeing pharmacy strategy across a 25-hospital system. Malone earned his Doctor of Pharmacy with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of Maryland University College.
