Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in general building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance.
  • Ability to maneuver Parking Access Control equipment.
  • Knowledge of proper safety procedures for power and hand tools, including drills, saws, roto hammers, floor jacks, go-jacks, and grinders.
  • Ability to lift heavy items, including barricades, sandbags, and boxes.
  • Ability to tow and maneuver a trailer.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
  • A valid state driver's license.
  • Ability to join the International Union of Operating Engineers/Stationary Engineers Local 39 and pay applicable union dues and initiation fees.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push a cart containing equipment.
  • Ability to perform sustained physical activity.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain the location's mechanical equipment and ensure it remains in good working order.
  • Perform general building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and minor construction.
  • Maintain lamps and light fixtures.
  • Replace 277-volt lamp ballasts while power is on.
  • Maintain a fleet of vehicles, sweepers, scrubbers, pressure washers, electric carts, and small equipment, including regularly scheduled tune-ups.
  • Perform minor repairs on starters, batteries, alternators, fuel filters, fan belts, and tires, including tire rotation.
  • Complete building maintenance projects involving doors, closers, locks, sheetrock, concrete, windows, concrete anchors, sign installation, faucets, drains, and pipes.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs on faucets, drains, and pipes.

Fresno Yosemite becomes largest California airport to offer contactless parking with Metropolis

Fresno Yosemite International Airport has partnered with Metropolis to introduce contactless parking across all its lots, launching on 14 July. Travellers can register via app or QR code, enabling automatic vehicle recognition and payment without tickets or kiosks. The partnership builds on an existing relationship, as SP+, a Metropolis company, has operated FAT's parking for decades. The new system follows FAT's record 2.7 million passengers in 2025 and completion of FATforward, its largest modernisation project. FAT becomes California's largest airport to offer the technology. Metropolis operates at approximately 75 US airports and recently launched at Sonoma County Airport. Cash payments remain available through designated lanes.

Metropolis expands AeroParker to 6 US airports and integrates Joby baggage services

Metropolis has expanded its aviation services across key US airports, rolling out its AeroParker reservations platform at six regional airports since December 2025, including Salt Lake City International, New Orleans International, and Milwaukee Mitchell International.
