Requirements
  • Experience with low-level embedded software development.
  • Experience with communications software, including Ethernet, LTE/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or near-field communication.
  • Experience with App Inventor.
  • Experience with the Arduino Software Development Environment.
  • Proficiency in C programming.
  • Experience with Microsoft Block Editor.
  • Experience with Arduino boards and other microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of basic electronic components, including sensors, buttons, and resistors.
  • Basic understanding of 5G, Internet of Things, virtual reality/augmented reality, and cybersecurity topics.

  • Background in education, teaching, tutoring, or training.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to work with students of all ages.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
Responsibilities
  • Design creative Internet of Things engineering projects for students that address real-world problems.
  • Design Internet of Things engineering projects illustrating wireless communication, Internet of Things, 5G, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and related engineering and technology topics.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, including documentation and prototypes.
  • Collaborate across departments, including engineering and government affairs, to develop new engineering activities and projects.
  • Conduct hands-on workshops to refine Internet of Things engineering projects using feedback and lessons learned.
  • Support Thinkabit Lab staff with engineering content and new Internet of Things projects.
  • Understand the function of the product and work with different functional teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in C++ programming.
  • Android app development experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences.
