Requirements
  • Four to five years of experience.
  • A master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or another relevant field; equivalent experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Progressive leadership experience in an ambulatory setting.
  • Budgeting and financial experience.
  • Experience working in healthcare settings that serve underserved, vulnerable, or marginalized populations with complex social and behavioral health needs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide integrated administrative leadership across UW Medicine's ambulatory clinics, including Harborview Medical Center clinics, to support the ambulatory restructure.
  • Provide senior administrative leadership for the UW Medicine Ambulatory Network - Primary Care Division.
  • Strengthen system-wide coordination while supporting Harborview's mission and unique operational needs.
  • Develop strategic plans and achieve annual objectives, goals, and budgets; initiate systems and strategies to ensure high-quality patient service and financial responsibility for assigned clinics and programs.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, division chiefs, medical directors, and clinic managers to develop, implement, and achieve strategic goals and coordinate effective implementation of initiatives.
  • Review operational metrics and data and conduct analysis to evaluate practice efficiency, effectiveness, and financial sustainability.
  • Plan, direct, and evaluate the work of subordinate clinical management staff in accordance with applicable internal and external regulations and standards for human resource management.
  • Oversee the preparation and monitoring of clinic operating budgets, goals, and objectives while considering input from the leadership team.
  • Represent Primary Care and Population Health on UW Medicine committees.
