  • Associate's degree in a related field and 4+ years of experience
  • Completion of a 40 hour OSHA training course is nice to have
  • Appropriate operator certification may also be required
  • Proficiency in performing Technician assignments and responsibilities, as well as tasks and testing techniques related to operations.
Responsibilities
  • Performs non routine and occasionally heavy labor tasks related to onsite industrial waste, hazardous waste, field environmental surveys or operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Collects samples and maintains documentation in record logs.
  • Operates trucks, pumps, vacuum equipment, oil booms, generators, and other machinery/equipment.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate logs of activities.
  • Tests, calibrates, repairs, and modifies control and instrumentation systems at onsite locations.
  • Many assignments are completed independently.
  • Gives leadership and guidance to lower level Technicians assigned to the same unit.
  • Prepares periodic or one of a kind reports of various activities and findings.
  • May initiate reports and/or establish and maintain logs and records.
  • Reports may be for individual activity or summary of group activities.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
