Reporting directly to our Chief People Officer and sitting on our People & Culture Leadership team, The Vice President, Total Rewards & People Operations will lead all HR operational initiatives, with a focus on service delivery, reporting, payroll, compensation, and benefits/total rewards. The ideal candidate possesses a consultative business partnering approach with a focus on employee experience and can work cross functionally with senior leadership to secure alignment on strategic decisions and organizational programs. You will also work closely with all functions across HR ensuring that there is a consistent connection to our overall People & Culture strategy. You foster an environment that continues to drive Link as a market leader while ensuring a best-in-class employee experience.
Responsibilities:
Compensation and Total Rewards:
- Lead the development of Link’s well-being strategy to ensure we take care of our people, including competitive compensation and reward programs, benefits, well-being programs.
- Own all compensation (including executive compensation) and benefits programs for Link Logistics.
- Lead the benchmarking, data analysis, program development, and operational and administrative processes for organizational wide compensation & executive compensation, along with our full suite of total rewards and benefits offerings.
- Manage executive compensation programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead the annual year-end compensation process including continuous administration of the company’s compensation system, providing support to the business and the HR team during the process.
- Manage any off-cycle ad-hoc compensation changes throughout the course of a performance year.
- Provide consultation to senior leadership and HR leadership regarding compensation strategies for attracting and retaining top talent.
- Assist HR team in the market evaluation of jobs and review of jobs from a compensation, compliance, and FLSA perspective.
- Partner with external Benefits vendors and consultants to stay apprised of the market. Make recommendations to enhance and update offerings and policies to drive market competitiveness and provide services aligned with our employee experience strategy.
- Lead a team that manages and maintains benefit programs such as retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and insurance policies, annual open enrollment and develop and implement enrollment campaigns and initiatives.
- Ensure your team manages FMLA, family leave, and other leave policies to confirm leaves are documented, communicated, and administered consistent with company policies.
- Continue to drive our EAP, mental health, and other benefit programs as part of overall employee experience strategy.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws pertaining to compensation and benefits, in partnership with HR, Legal, and outside counsel.
People & Culture Operations:
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking, with emphasis on Link’s employee experience, strong communication skills for influencing at all organizational levels, fostering a positive team environment, and utilizing data insights.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities.
- Knowledge and experience in supporting core people functions from an operational perspective including people planning, workforce planning, talent management and development, learning and development, engagement and retention, compensation, HR systems and employee relations.
- Use data and business insights to facilitate problem-solving, proactively identify issues and opportunities, prioritize with leadership and work with cross functional partners to develop practical solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that HR processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
- The VP will also be tasked with driving a high-performing team that collaborates effectively with the HR function ensuring that HR aligns with overall business strategies and goals.
- Lead HR systems initiatives, including projects and any subsequent implementations.
- Provide people data to leaders in their effort to solve complex business problems and uncover insights.
- Manage relationships and collaboration among internal teams, including HRBP’s, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, and Finance.
- Represent the HR tech team in project and stakeholder meetings, securing senior management buy-in for key initiatives and changes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HRIS and data professionals.
- Communicate a clear vision for the People Systems and Data team, leading a change initiative in its scope from transactional to strategic.
- Optimize HRIS (Workday) to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Develop a comprehensive data strategy to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of people data.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand their needs and provide effective people systems and data solutions.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in HR operations and compensation/total rewards.
- 5+ years leading organizational compensation inclusive of executive compensation.
- 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams HR Operations teams.
- Extensive experience with HRIS and Payroll systems, ideally Workday.
- In-depth knowledge of benefits programs (health, wellness, and retirement plans), leave policies, and related benefits law.
- Experience building compensation packages and bonus programs for various departments and levels in a rapidly changing organization.
- Strong understanding of external marketplace and dynamics influencing business and stay apprised of trends.
- Advanced Excel skills. Intermediate/Advanced Workday knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to articulate a clear vision and strategy for the team and build relationships across the business.
- Ability to be extremely organized while working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Strategic thinker and influencer with demonstrated leadership acumen and problem-solving skills.
