Requirements
  • An Associate's degree in Aviation Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience may substitute for a degree.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with unmanned aerial systems, including assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of unmanned aerial system components and systems, including avionics, communications, and navigation.
  • Familiarity with Federal Aviation Administration regulations and guidelines related to unmanned aerial system operation.
  • Experience soldering, welding, and making cables.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary certifications and clearances for unmanned aerial system operation.
  • United States citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble, maintain, and repair unmanned aerial systems and unmanned ground vehicles.
  • Work closely with engineers and operators to ensure systems meet operational requirements and performance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and conduct thorough inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of unmanned aerial system platforms.
  • Prepare systems for testing in support of flight operations.
  • Collect data and document performance findings.
