What you’ll do
Our AlixAlumni program is a key driver of growth for the firm. We have big ambitions for the future and are seeking an Alumni Engagement Senior Specialist to help us build on our success to date.
In this exciting role within AlixPartners’ Employer Brand Marketing and Communications team, you will work alongside our global Alumni Steering Committee and Employee and Alumni Engagement Director to implement our firm’s global alumni engagement strategy with a special focus on alumni business development and recruitment.
You will be a natural communicator and bring your organizational and interpersonal skills to manage the day-to-day planning, creative execution, and continuous improvement of our alumni program.
The Employee and Alumni Engagement Senior Specialist is a full-time role based in New York, NY reporting to the Employee and Alumni Engagement Director.
- Devise, plan, and attend virtual and in-person events.
- Conduct research and facilitate sharing of best practice across the firm to continuously improve the alumni experience.
- Oversee the employee-to-alumnus transition process alongside key stakeholders from the People Team.
- Create and deliver content across a range of communications channels including direct contact, email, alumni webpages, newsletters, and social media.
- Manage our alumni job board and create and implement a content calendar.
- Author, film, edit, and publish relevant, meaningful content by engaging with employees and alumni.
- Manage the launch of our new AlixAlumni online community portal.
- Ensure that alumni records are accurately kept.
- Oversee the local Alumni Champions and employee Alumni Buddies in the fulfilment of their role.
- Create monthly reports using our reporting suite and generate monthly KPI metrics.

What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience; alumni relations, marketing/communications, event management, community marketing, or a related field highly preferred.
- Ambitious, collaborative, teammate who can multi‐task in a high-performing environment.
- Excellent project and event management skills with a proven ability to ensure that all internal and external projects are planned, tracked, and measured for smooth and timely delivery, concurrently across a variety of workstreams and geographies.
- Comfortable and confident working with senior stakeholders and external professionals including alumni clients.
- Effective business-style writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of CRM systems, including databases and event management tools.
- Data-driven and analytical problem solver with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

The firm offers a comprehensive benefits program including health, vision, dental, disability, 401K, tuition reimbursement, identity theft protection, and mental wellness support. Employees will also receive a generous paid leave policy including vacation/personal time starting at 7.34 hours per pay period, sick time up to 80 hours annually, parental leave, and twelve holidays.
The hourly range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $42/hr. - $60/hr. with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
