  • High School Diploma

Responsibilities
  • Run equipment on daily basis as per instructions from EE or Sr. Techs
  • Generate data and store/interpret tool data for broader use for EE or others
  • Identify tool related problems and fix it as per guidance or under guidance
  • Conduct daily FAB walks for tool 5S and fix safety issues
  • Interpret tool signals and respond as per instructions
  • Manage inventory of spares, parts and other components for a tool
  • Learn tool PM and assist in tool PM and BM procedures
  • Interpret tool signals and respond as per instructions
  • Coordinate with other technician’s daily tool status
  • Coordinate abnormal tool signals, alarms with EE and Sr. techs and assist in fixing the alarms/signals
  • Learn how to bring tool back to safety operating mode from PM/BM/Alarms
  • Assist in part of tool installation or various tool installations as per guidance from EE or Sr. techs
  • Take various tool measurements or signals and communicate for efficiency, safety and continuous operation of tools
  • Take training classes to expand knowledge base within same tool or other tools
  • Acquire certification to perform normal, routine, daily equipment tasks
  • Learn support equipment for a tool and maintain continuous operations
  • Own more than one tool set across various departments. Learn more than one tool set, equipment. Manage support equipment for more than one tool set
  • Learn troubleshooting the tool and wafer recovery. Learn tool PM/BM procedures and perform PM/BM under guidance. Acquire certification for performing PM/BM independently
  • Identify proactive signals for a tool for performance enhancement and execute tasks to generate results
  • Generate ideas for multiple tool performances and improvement projects. Install interlocks and FDC signals for performance enhancement
  • Execute projects with help of levels I and II technicians. Improve safety, efficiency, and reduce cost
  • Coach and mentor levels I and II technicians. Create procedures for tool development/manufacturing swing and train people. Create Technician I and Technician II certifications and teach the classes
  • Conduct daily tool safety walks, identify operational weakness, and keep the line running
  • Own broader FAB wide projects, not only tool focused, but FAB focused and create procedures. Create safety protocols for FAB and multiple tools. Coach Technician Is, Technician IIs and Sr. Engineers to expand knowledge base. Train across various shifts
  • Identify multiple cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects and successful implementation. Create KPI based execution for multiple tools
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or higher in technology, mechanical engineering technology, equipment engineering technology, industrial maintenance technology, or a related field
  • 5 or more years of experience in multiple areas of FAB process/equipment/operations/logistics/spare management
  • Exposure in semiconductor manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to semiconductor processes, process development, equipment installs and equipment modification
