Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in DevOps engineering, release automation, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on experience scaling continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines; GitHub Actions or workflows are preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage and provision Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar tools, as well as Linux system administration.
  • The applicant must be legally authorized to access information subject to United States export controls, or otherwise be eligible for the required United States government authorization.
Responsibilities
  • Identify workflow frustrations and develop solutions that improve the developer experience.
  • Architect and scale reliable continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines through Amazon Web Services and GitHub workflows to support automated, reproducible, and observable testing.
  • Provision and manage Amazon Web Services and on-premises computing resources using Terraform.
  • Bridge embedded flight software, simulation, testing, and information technology infrastructure.
  • Support scaling of Software in the Loop and Hardware in the Loop test infrastructure.
  • Write software and integrate it with existing tools and infrastructure to create a strong developer experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success in taking ownership of continuous integration and continuous delivery systems and maturing development processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with the unique challenges of embedded systems, including cross-compilation and integration with physical devices and Hardware in the Loop testbeds.
  • Experience supporting software teams writing in compiled languages such as C++ or Rust.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and optimizing containers for efficient scaling.

Reliable Robotics raises $160M to scale FAA-certifiable autonomous aircraft system

Reliable Robotics has raised $160 million in new funding to accelerate deployment of its Reliable Autonomy System, the first FAA-certifiable system enabling fully automated aircraft operation. The round was led by Nimble Partners, with participation from existing investors including Eclipse, Lightspeed and Coatue, plus new backers such as Boeing's AE Ventures and RTX Ventures. The Mountain View-based company has secured commitments for over 200 systems from commercial and military customers. It was recently selected for the US Department of Transportation's advanced aviation pilot programme and has a contract with the US Air Force for automated air cargo operations, both beginning this year. Reliable has nearly tripled its workforce since its last funding round. The FAA has accepted the company's certification plans for commercial operations.
