Peerspace is looking for a Head of Analytics to build and lead our Analytics function, combining strategic leadership with deep technical expertise to drive marketplace growth. This role will oversee our business intelligence and analytics initiatives, using advanced analytical methods to interpret vast data sets and solve complex marketplace challenges. The ideal candidate will excel at people management, system architecture, and process creation while maintaining the technical depth to guide complex analyses. Reporting to the COO/CFO, this leader will be instrumental in transforming data insights into actionable business strategies that drive Peerspace’s next phase of growth.

The Ideal Candidate:
●Has a strong foundation in data analytics, with a proven ability to display, summarize, and communicate data to partners across Operations, Marketing, Executive team, and other business units
●Demonstrates both technical excellence and business acumen, comfortable working with engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders
●Has experience analyzing and modeling marketplace frameworks, including defining supply and demand KPIs and monitoring business health metrics
●Is curious about the business, self-motivated, and resourceful in finding solutions when perfect data isn’t readily available
●Is proactive and thrives in a fast-paced environment, committed to continuous improvement
●Enjoys optimizing BI visualizations that surface key insights for stakeholders across the organization
Core Responsibilities:
●Leadership & Strategy
○Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing analytics team
○Define and implement data strategy, governance, and best practices
○Partner with executive leadership to identify and prioritize key business questions
○Drive the selection and implementation of new analytics tools and infrastructure
●Analytics & Business Intelligence
○Lead complex analyses of marketplace dynamics, identifying trends, opportunities, and challenges
○Develop and maintain critical business metrics and dashboards
○Ensure data quality and consistency across the organization
○Drive the evolution of our analytics tech stack and data architecture
●Cross-functional Partnership
○Partner with Product and Engineering on data infrastructure and tooling
○Support Operations teams with insights and recommendations for marketplace optimization
○Collaborate with Finance on revenue forecasting and business planning
○Present insights and recommendations to the Board and executive team
Technical Environment
●Databases: Google BigQuery, Postgres
●Tooling: dbt-Cloud, Airflow, gith
●BI Tool: Sisense (Periscope), transitioning to new platform in 2025
Required Qualifications:
●7+ years of analytics experience with 3+ years in a leadership role
●Strong technical foundation in SQL, Python, and statistical analysis
●Experience building and leading analytics teams
●Track record of driving business impact through data-driven insights
●Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
●Experience leading analytics for a two-sided marketplace or platform business
●Track record of building analytics functions at high-growth companies
●Experience presenting to and working with Boards of Directors
●MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative field

Working At Peerspace
The annual salary range for this role is $170,000 to $195,000. The actual salary amount will vary depending on the applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and market data.
