Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Seven years of related experience are required, including two years providing security support in a classified Department of Defense, special access program, and/or sensitive compartmented information environment.
  • Experience with database management and workflow software is required.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
  • Applicants must be eligible to access classified information at the level appropriate to the project and must successfully complete required security investigations and polygraph examinations.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Five years of experience providing administrative security support in special access and/or sensitive compartmented information environments is preferred.
  • Two years of experience assisting a Facility Security Officer or Contractor Special Security Officer is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Special Access and Sensitive Compartmented Information programs and government regulations is preferred.
  • Current eligibility for access to classified information at the level required for the position is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Contractor Special Security Officer in maintaining security standards and compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, Intelligence Community Directives, and applicable Department of Defense manuals.
  • Coordinate and submit program access requests, maintain personnel files, submit required reports to cognizant security agencies, maintain access rosters, and coordinate visitor control and meetings.
  • Maintain special programs under the Contractor Special Security Officer’s portfolio by initiating and tracking security actions, auditing and monitoring local security policy, conducting self-inspections, responding to sponsor inquiries, and reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist principal investigators with security administrative requirements and administer compliant security education, training, and awareness while updating records.
  • Perform information security tasks including document control, security log maintenance, file retention, incident investigation and reporting, Contract Data Requirements List tracking and management, and standard operating procedure monitoring and enforcement.
  • Develop classified information inventory, tracking, and data transfer procedures within the special programs information system.
  • Maintain physical and technical security by maintaining access lists, coordinating alarm response and investigations, performing random inspections, and coordinating alarm testing and maintenance.
  • Assist in developing security plans and tracking Plan of Action and Milestones actions required for government compliance.
  • Assist with coordination required to obtain approval for construction and modification of secure working spaces.
  • Perform other related functions as assigned.
