Qualifications

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled 3D Artist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality 3D artwork through artistic and technical expertise. You understand how to effectively build, integrate, and optimize a variety of asset types as well as how to support the gameplay experience.

You will work closely with the Game Producer, Artist, and Developer team to create or modify art assets that meet the needs of the project. It is a highly collaborative role, and you must be able to communicate effectively with all team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use your expertise in a variety of 3D game Art areas to guide our working practices from iterative prototyping to final best-in-class execution.
• A team-oriented approach to your work, understanding the importance of collaboration, and partnering with all departments.
• Partnering with other artists, designers, and tech artists to collaborate on creative solutions to solve complex pipeline problems and bring assets to life.
• Self-motivated and detail-conscious approach to work.
• Remain current on industry trends including advancement in commercial game engines and workflow efficiencies.
   

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• A portfolio with examples and detailed breakdowns, showcasing your practical work.
• Solid understanding of authoring PBR and stylized materials.
• Ability to create high-resolution 3D sculpts, finished renders and final low polygon game assets for highly creative items, characters, and creatures.
• Comprehensive understanding of design, composition, form, shape, structure, silhouette, details and surfacing, to deliver an aesthetically pleasing and believable asset.
• Solid understanding and proven experience of game art creation outside of 3D assets and implementation (e.g. Concept, Lighting, VFX, Animation, Rendering).
• Maintaining knowledge of best practices in modelling, sculpting, and procedural techniques, as well as using them to efficiently create game-ready art.

Experience, Education and Qualification:

• Minimum 2+ years of professional 3D Art experience with commercial project.
• Strong experience in 3D modelling, texturing, lighting, rigging, and rendering.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling software (e.g., Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, Zbrush or Cinema 4d).
• Solid skills in texturing tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop or Substance Painter).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Highly Desirable skills or experience:

• Proven animating skills preferred.
• Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity or Unreal Engine).
• Slot Gaming industry/related experience preferred.
