Requirements
  • Experience working in small teams to develop solutions, deliver products, and test and evaluate performance.
  • Working knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
  • Working knowledge of PCB design, fabrication, and testing.
  • Experience with low-power microcontrollers using C/C++ language programming
  • Experience with Programmable Logic (CPLD & FPGA), preference for VHDL language
  • Working knowledge of signal analysis using Python or MATLAB
  • Experience with PC-based data acquisition.
  • Basic experience with Linux and system programming
  • Experience and skill analyzing experiment data.
  • Possess strong technical writing skills suited for technical reports and briefing material.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical discipline.
  • Currently hold a Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Work with a small multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians to develop, test, and deliver uncrewed underwater vehicles (UUVs) to meet defined and derived system performance requirements.
  • Development activities will include design, implementation and integration of components and subsystems into UUV platforms.
  • Conduct laboratory-based testing, operations at sea, and perform post-test analysis and reporting of performance results.
  • Reporting includes focused technical documentation as well as contract deliverables and briefing material.
  • Travel in support of testing and/or operations in other locations both in the U.S. and abroad, which may require multiple days at-sea.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using NI LabView and NI Measurement Studio.
  • Experience with Altium Designer.
  • Experience with UUV systems and operations.
  • Experience with at-sea test and evaluation (T&E) to include operations onboard small craft and large ships at sea is desired.
  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical discipline.
