Requirements
  • Current certified practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Experience as a Speech Pathologist beyond graduation.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
  • A proactive attitude and motivation to improve and test and learn from new ideas.
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
Responsibilities
  • Manage an allocated caseload and deliver therapeutic services in line with timelines and clinical protocols.
  • Conduct clinical observations and standardised assessments, analyse findings, and develop evidence-based treatment goals tailored to each participant’s needs.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions grounded in current best practice and monitor and measure progress against established goals.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, and participant records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all service delivery aligns with National Disability Insurance Scheme requirements and organisational policies.
  • Adjust interventions as needed to optimise participant outcomes.
  • Educate and empower families and caregivers by providing strategies and guidance to support therapeutic goals in everyday settings.
  • Advocate for participants’ needs and rights throughout the therapeutic journey.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
