Requirements
  • Lead a small team of product designersYou will manage a small number (~2) of designers on our global team, work with product management to understand product / UX needs, prioritize work for your team, and together with your team, deliver designs that will move our product forward
  • Understand user needs and develop user journeysLead or support research to understand our users, their needs, and develop reusable assets (personas, journey maps) that will ensure we're designing the right things for our users, and designing things right!
  • Design and ship productTogether with your team, deliver end-to-end design of key features and journeys, translate design into engineering-ready deliverables, and work with cross-functional partners to get your work into the hands of our users
  • Champion User Experience at VizContinue to develop and expand our design principles and patterns, and champion user-centered design across Viz. Ensure that product excellence is a team priority and user needs are at the core of our product
  • Set the bar for healthcareHealthcare is known for clunky, difficult-to-use tools; your design and the Viz application should redefine what is expected of clinician-facing products
  • Evolve our Design SystemAs our platform has grown so have our design system needs, you will work with other designers and design managers on our team to evolve our system to ensure it meets the needs of our products and helps our designers and developers be more effective and efficient
  • 4+ years of experience designing digital products across web and mobile systemsYou are a strong interaction designer, but are comfortable and proficient across all of product design, including visual design, and research
  • Experience in healthcareYou've designed digital tools for patients or providers and understand the complexity of working in the healthcare space. You know how to talk to users in the healthcare world, and are experienced making decisions that optimize for both safety and usability
  • Energized by complexityYou love a good challenge - and know how to turn a complex workflow into an elegant solution that is extensible to multiple users and use cases. You know how to create rules and systems, and when to break or change them
  • Data-drivenYou seek-out user and usage data to help inform your design decisions. You can justify each design decision you make
  • Excellent collaboratorYou have experience working with a variety of cross-functional peers - including PM, Research, Engineering, Legal, and Marketing
  • Clear communicatorYou can communicate clearly and concisely in both speaking and writing, and tailor your communications to the appropriate audience. You are comfortable speaking with clinicians and medical experts
Responsibilities
  • We are looking for a Product / User Experience design manager who is energized by leading people and designing software and experiences that help physicians deliver life-saving treatments more efficiently. By joining our team, you'll manage a small team and work alongside them to design and deliver end-to-end user experiences in mobile and web for diverse groups of users and care providers - including neurologists, care coordinators, cardiologists, radiologists, and more. Please note, that while this is a management role, you will be expected to contribute meaningfully to the end-to-end design process for the products in your portfolio

Desired Qualifications
  • Management experienceYou have some experience managing designers, providing performance feedback, and prioritizing / allocating work for a small team
  • Comfort with working some Israel hoursYour team will likely include designers working in Tel Aviv, which is 7 hours ahead of the east coast (EST) and 10 hours ahead of the west coast (PST). If you're comfortable working flexible and/or earlier hours - this is a great role for you
  • Mobile experience You have experience and comfort designing and working with developers for mobile apps
  • Design system experienceYou have built or extensively used design systems in your work. You are comfortable creating components and systems that are useful to other designers on your team
  • Comfort with UX Writing / Content strategyEffective, concise communication with our users is a critical part of what we do. You will be a key part of crafting the voice and tone of Viz, so comfort and experience with UX writing is a plus!
