Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in quality engineering, quality control, or quality assurance in a relevant industry
  • Experience auditing with ISO9001/AS9100 within the Department of Defense
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Experience with autonomous systems, maritime technology, or defense applications is a plus
  • Familiarity with tools and methodologies for quality improvement, such as Six Sigma or Lean
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage quality control processes and procedures for the design, manufacturing, and testing of ASVs
  • Ensure that our products adhere to all relevant industry standards, regulations, and DoD requirements, maintaining proper documentation and certifications
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality and reliability of components and materials used in our ASVs
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action to enhance product quality and performance
  • Develop and oversee rigorous quality testing protocols and procedures to validate the performance and reliability of our ASVs
  • Assess potential quality and safety risks and work with the engineering team to implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, records, and quality assurance reports to track and communicate the quality status of our products
  • Provide training to team members on quality standards and best practices to ensure a culture of quality and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, manufacturing, and other teams to resolve quality-related issues and drive product improvement
