Summary:
The Director of Resident Services upholds the EverTrue mission of "Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest" by working as the community liaison for Independent Living (IL) residents in providing a high quality of service and satisfaction. Coordinates activity events for Assisted Living (AL) and oversees the delivery of activities through supporting staff and the volunteer base.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Serves as a liaison between IL residents and the various service departments of the community to provide a high quality of service and helps resolve resident complaints, concerns and/or issues with various department directors.
Coordinates with the Active Living Coordinator tracking the flow of IL residents entering the hospital and their outcome for need of “level-of-care” changes and /or support when returning to Independent Living.
Works with the Marketing Department to help facilitate the new resident’s transition once they have moved into the community and orients new residents on community life and services available to them.
Assists the marketing staff with prospective resident events.
Provides team leadership in promoting the 6 aspects of wellness and coordination of all special functions encompassing all levels of care.
Serves as a resource person and gives general oversight to the various programs and projects developed by and/or for IL residents.
Facilitates Assisted Living (AL) life enhancement opportunities and participates in the community activity leadership team staff meetings and supports community wide and or departmental efforts.
May hold the responsibility of coordinating their Community’s volunteer program in conjunction with a designated member of the EverTrue Volunteer and Community Engagement team, which may include determining volunteer needs, onboarding and orientation, record-keeping, evaluation and retention of the volunteers.
May facilitate and assist the resident council for Independent Living and Assisted Living in the community.
Assists the Executive Director & Administrator of Licensed Areas when needed.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- 1 – 3 years experience working in senior living with demonstrated leadership skills.
- A degree in a related field (Social Work, Business, Gerontology, Therapeutic Recreation, Hospitality, etc.) preferred.
- Recognizes the value of extra-ordinary customer service and values person-centered care.
- Demonstrates a high degree of creativity and resourcefulness.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with employees, residents and families.
- Proficient computer skills.

The employee may help with moving residents in wheelchairs, setting up tables and chairs and other supplies and equipment used for activities.
Employee lifts up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis. Employee pushes and pulls a maximum force of 30 lbs.
The work environment is well lighted and ventilated and has its own temperature control system (air conditioning and heat).
Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the Aids and Hepatitis B viruses.
May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, etc.
May work beyond normal working hours when necessary, including evenings and weekends. Is a part of the Manager on Duty rotation for weekend coverage.

EverTrue Pay & Benefits
Pay grade: Grade C ($51,675.00/year to $82,500.00/year)
