- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support to the service team to manage the internal fleet of robots
- Develop clear and well understood documentation which includes but is not limited to plant floor layouts, control plans, work instructions, rework instructions, drawings, and test procedures
- Design assembly fixtures, manufacturing aids, and/or custom tooling to support service
- Collaborate with other team members to develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and in turn researching, designing, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
- Driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and procedures
- Conduct root cause analysis by working closely with Service, Quality, Production, Testing, Design, and other Operations team members by collecting, analyzing and summarizing results
Desired Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or relative experience
- At least 5 + years of previous relative work experience in manufacturing or service function
- Experience with manufacturing documentation, process development, and data analysis
- Experience with design & selection of production processes & equipment
- Knowledge and/or experience with CAD tools such as Solidworks and CATIA
- Knowledge and/or experience with Process Capability, DOE, GD&T, Control Plans, and 8D Problem Solving
- Experience with creating and approving change orders associated with product, procedures and BOMs
- Excellent reporting, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience in robotics industry
- New Product Introduction (NPI) experience
- Comfortable working with tools
- Experience with low to medium volume production
- Experience with product design
- Experience performing Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews
