Requirements
  • Five years minimum of operational experience at a Foreman or Superintendent level, with emphasis on construction in the electrical industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint and the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Proficiency in writing internal and external correspondence.
  • Ability to focus, organize, and prioritize essential functions to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to foster and maintain effective teamwork.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing demands and priorities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move about construction sites for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding and work at heights as required.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch to inspect installations in confined or difficult-to-access spaces.
  • Tolerance for varying weather conditions and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment, including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots, as required by job-site safety protocols.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in the second project handoff to become familiar with project requirements.
  • Manage and support quality assurance and quality control functions on assigned projects as directed by the Department Manager or QA/QC Technician Supervisor.
  • Schedule regular meetings with the project team to discuss schedules and job-site inspections.
  • Coordinate with the General Contractor’s project QA/QC team and attend regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Coordinate and assist with training and support for the project team on the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Promote the use of Best Practice Guides in the QuickBase QA/QC App to help the project team achieve quality installations.
  • Perform and document underground inspections as needed in the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Conduct and document temporary-power inspections in the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Inspect received project equipment as outlined by the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Create nonconformance reports for damaged equipment received.
  • Inspect switchboards and panelboards as directed by the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Inspect other equipment purchased by Starr or its owner on site as directed by the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Witness and verify torque and megger reports completed by the project team as directed by the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Inspect wall and overhead installations to identify punch-list items.
  • Sign off on and verify completion of all punch-list items as directed by the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Verify that all closeout documents are completed on site as required by the QuickBase QA/QC App.
  • Travel to jobsites, including out-of-town locations, to perform required functions.
  • Support and administer office administrative functions as directed by appropriate authorities.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Department Manager or QA/QC Technician Supervisor.
