Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a support and operations or design and engineering role.
  • At least 3 years of experience in information security operations, infrastructure support, cloud security, DevOps, database security, or related technical roles is preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, or orchestration technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, or continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling.
  • Familiarity with operational security concepts including access management, cryptography, secure configurations, vulnerability remediation, and incident response is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with database security platforms such as Imperva SecureSphere, Sonar, or similar technologies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence-assisted operational tooling, analytics, or data science concepts within cybersecurity operations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-53, or related security frameworks is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Support enterprise Data at Rest Encryption platforms and operational data protection initiatives across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Assist with onboarding databases, applications, and cloud resources into enterprise data security monitoring and protection platforms.
  • Perform security event validation, log analysis, and operational troubleshooting for data security technologies and infrastructure.
  • Support cloud security implementations across Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform environments, including secure configuration and deployment activities.
  • Contribute to automation and orchestration initiatives using Terraform, Ansible, scripting, and continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining automated workflows, operational playbooks, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
  • Participate in operational support activities for database security monitoring, encryption technologies, cloud-native security services, and secure infrastructure deployments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, database administration, engineering, and security teams to improve operational processes and implement secure-by-design practices.
  • Support proof-of-concept activities for new cloud database technologies and security integrations.
  • Assist with infrastructure audits, operational reporting, metrics collection, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support implementation and monitoring of security controls aligned with enterprise policies, National Institute of Standards and Technology principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform system and network upgrade tasks.
  • Design and analyze vendor services and information security requirements, and maintain relationships with key vendors.
  • Participate in and complete lights-on initiatives to consolidate equipment or implement business relocations.
  • Perform complex configuration changes to meet business and information security requirements.
  • Perform capacity analysis and recommend and implement capacity increases.
  • Respond to Level 3 and Level 4 change and problem requests, and lead Level 1 and Level 2 incident recoveries and root cause analysis.
  • Provide technical support to business and technology associates.
