Department Overview

Motorola Solutions Vehicle Intelligence business, is a leading global provider of data and image analytics for vehicle location. The company’s image capture and analysis platform, which includes fixed, mobile and app based license plate reader hardware and software driven by machine learning and artificial intelligence, provides vehicle location data to public safety and commercial customers. Acquired in January 2019, this product offering expands the Motorola Solutions command center software portfolio with the largest shareable database of vehicle location information that can help shorten response times and improve the speed and accuracy of investigations. The Product Management Team works to ensure that products are aligned with customer needs and requirements, taking input from customers and internal stakeholders to define requirements for development that enhance the product's value to the customer.

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and innovative Product Management leader to drive the development of our next-generation intelligent camera products. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for cutting-edge technology, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in hardware product management. You will work with the Director of Product Management to shape the overall vision and roadmap, bringing products to market with a cross-functional team. You will build strong relationships within Vehicle Intelligence, Motorola Solutions, and with external customers, partners, and industry groups. Your work will help protect and save lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy and Roadmap: Develop product requirements and roadmaps that drive the company’s vision while prioritizing customer needs and pain points. Define and analyze metrics to inform product success. Represent the product roadmap to executive leadership and win their buy-in.

• Go-to-Market Strategies:Craft and execute winning go-to-market strategies. Partner with Sales, Sales Ops, and Marketing to refine our go-to-market approach, including pricing and packaging.

• Partnership Collaboration: Collaborate with technology partners to identify and build integrated solutions. Develop relationships with key stakeholders within Motorola Solutions to increase customer value and speed innovation.

• Customer Focus and Innovation:Focus on user experience and design to create world-class hardware that increases adoption and user success. Serve as a champion for innovation while ensuring customers experience the performance and usability demanded by their public safety mission. Work directly with customers and industry groups to uncover customer and market problems and opportunities.

• Relationship Management:Own relationships with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Support, UX, User Research, and Engineering; synthesize market and customer intelligence gained through these interactions.

• Product Lifecycle Oversight:Oversee the product lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards. Other responsibilities as defined by the Director of Product Management.

Who You Are:

• A professional with 8+ years of experience in hardware product management leadership (or similar role) with a demonstrated track record of achieving business success. Passionate about exceeding customer expectations. A self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates a knack for building great products.

• Experience with AI/machine learning technologies is strongly preferred.

• Humble, collaborative, and a continuous learner who adapts quickly. A change agent who is skilled at identifying and gaining momentum around winning ideas. A mentor for others, helping teammates learn and grow.

• Able to thrive in ambiguity and make qualitative judgments based on available information. Willing to make and admit mistakes and to course-correct accordingly.

• Able to influence others and deliver results without having direct control. Deeply curious and driven by a desire for continuous growth and learning.

• A collaborative and approachable leader who prioritizes the success of Motorola Solutions’ customers, corporate goals, and their team’s impact.

• Exceptionally organized with effective written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

• Understanding of intelligent camera design. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Passion for innovation and emerging technologies in the imaging space.

Note: Candidate can reside anywhere in Canada.
