Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or an associate degree with four to six years of related experience and/or training, or six to eight years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the Quality Assurance Specialist II role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality principles and current understanding of regulations.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards including AABB, AATB, Food and Drug Administration requirements for HCT/P, cGMP, and cGTP, 21 CFR 1271, FACT, and ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to make detailed comparisons, identify inconsistencies and mistakes, determine root causes, make pragmatic decisions, and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and support continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain a culture of quality awareness, teamwork, and cooperation with Quality customers.
  • Provide Quality oversight, support, and engagement for Operations as needed.
  • Own Quality Management System processes, including document control, change management, deviations and nonconformances, complaint handling and investigations, supply and vendor management, validations, and quality metrics.
  • Review, approve, maintain, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures, change controls, deviations, nonconformances, complaints, investigations, supplier activities, validations, and quality-system records.
  • Track and facilitate investigations and change-task completion across cross-functional teams to support closure of Quality Events and Change Controls.
  • Perform trending analysis and reporting of quality indicators, identify risks, and recommend process improvements in Operations.
  • Facilitate meetings, provide system visibility, communicate status, and facilitate closure of aging items.
  • Gather performance metrics and coordinate Management Review inputs from contributing departments.
  • Track, trend, and report Quality System metrics to support continuous quality improvement and communicate critical compliance and quality risks.
  • Work cooperatively across teams and sites to maintain process and procedural consistency for quality-system records.
  • Create and implement training for Quality Management System processes to educate Quality Assurance customers.
  • Perform other Quality Assurance duties as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity or experience with basic statistics, document review and approval, risk tools, technical writing, and writing, reviewing, and approving investigations.
  • Knowledge of MasterControl or a similar electronic Quality Management System.
