Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree B.A./B.S in engineering, safety, or equivalent experience
  • Direct or indirect proven Safety leadership
  • Certification in Safety (CSP) or related professional certification/s
  • Ability to influence and direct partners and leadership
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent relationship building and collaboration
  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven knowledge and use of Microsoft products
  • Ability to travel as required
Responsibilities
  • Act as program owner partnering with Target business units to ensure new equipment and modifications to existing equipment installed in new/legacy buildings comply with all applicable codes, regulations and accredited standards (OSHA/ANSI)
  • Integrate safety systems into the design of new and existing equipment to pursue a safer place to work and shop at Target
  • Lead risk assessment processes or risk assessment programs (RAP) and assist in development/review of equipment designs while providing guidance on requirements on controls and closing findings
  • Support clients by leading projects through the entire go-live process from design to activation
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing; possess excellent program management skills
  • Ensure all risk and compliance obligations are reflected within key headquarters programs, while establishing proper risk tolerance for the organization
  • Work with headquarters partners to develop and influence key safety programs/standards, including establishing/sustaining a strong safety culture
  • Develop a strategic project plan to deploy digestible safety programs/standards to the field, while aligning to industry and regulatory standards
  • Ensure alignment with the business during deployment, and support the development of safety standards and training
