Requirements
  • Rising senior or graduate student in an accredited economics, applied mathematics, or finance undergraduate/graduate program
  • Demonstrable experience in portfolio management (prior internships and/or student investment funds preferred)
  • Extensive coursework in some combination of advanced finance, security analysis, portfolio management, and accounting
  • Demonstrable ability to read and understand financial statements
  • Experience using Windows-based software, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excel modelling skills and working knowledge of Bloomberg preferred
  • Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality in dealing with client matters
  • Ability to be proactive and anticipate issues; works quickly and proactively to solve them
  • Willingness to learn, expand responsibility
  • Must consent to and have favorable consumer report, background check and drug/alcohol test
Responsibilities
  • Conduct and/or support analytical investment research across asset classes
  • Research economic conditions, sectors, and markets to develop ideas that are actionable and can be expressed in a portfolio
  • Assess relative value of investment sectors and securities
  • Assist with risk evaluation at the portfolio and manager level
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses, gathering data from multiple sources, assessing and analyzing trends
  • Assist with investment performance analysis across multiple asset classes, calculating, auditing, and validating investment results
  • Assist with communication materials for internal and external users (PowerPoint presentations, Excel files, Word documents, etc.)
  • Other administrative duties as assigned by management
