  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities
  • Provide mechanical and software support on PlusAI's full-stack, self-driving technology for large-scale, autonomous commercial fleets
  • Responsible for concept design, schematic and routing layout, analysis, testing, and electrical certification, and engage in electrical component design, including switches, connectors, terminals, and sealing systems
  • Participate in the design of electrical wiring harnesses, connector systems, switches, and power distribution within the vehicle environment, using knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) design
  • Perform component and system level diagnostics and tuning, and integrate, test, and tune sensor modules and robotics components
  • Define and design mechanical hardware and wiring harnesses from concept to production, and draft 3D product drawings, using computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Design, develop, analyze, and debug the software portion of complex electromechanical subsystems, such as driver monitoring systems, drive-by-wire systems, and human machine interface (HMI) components
  • Review and assess initial evaluations of new electronic components and sensors, including cameras, LiDARs, RADARs, and on-board computers
  • Use good oral communication skills to collaborate with prototype shops on the manufacturing process of fabricated mechanical parts, and provide guidance on the construction of wiring harnesses
  • Perform sensor and system integration to test and evaluate new sensor modules, and improve existing modules
  • Design and develop block diagrams, electrical device transmittals, and wiring harness documentation, using good written communication skills
  • Review and debug mechanical issues, and design and develop the integration of the PlusAI autonomous driving system onto various vehicle platforms, including the modifications and retrofitting of different truck brands, sensor calibration, and software deployment
