- A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related science is required.
- A New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license from the New York Education Department is required.
- At least 4 years of clinical laboratory experience is required, or 2 years with a Master's degree, or 1 year with an MD, DO, or doctoral degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science.
- Serve as a lead generalist for the laboratories during the night shift.
- Perform testing and help oversee operations across the Blood Bank, Chemistry and Hematology, and Microbiology departments.
- Lead the workflow process for the Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and Microbiology departments.
- Run quality control, calibrate instruments, and perform automated and manual patient testing.
- Help resolve patient testing issues and oversee instrument troubleshooting issues.
- Monitor supplies and work with the Supervisor to prevent shortages that could interrupt patient testing.
- Work from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. with rotating weekends and holidays.
- Prior Microbiology and Chemistry or Hematology experience.
- Prior experience in a hospital system.
- Leadership skills.
