- 6+ years experience in civil transportation engineering
- Professional Engineer license in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Demonstrated experience in project management for municipal or county transportation projects
- Working knowledge of FDOT standards, the Florida Design Manual, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and local agency design criteria
- Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or similar design software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to lead client interactions
- Manage the design and delivery of transportation projects for local and regional government clients, including roadway, sidewalk, intersection, and multimodal improvements
- Serve as Project Manager for assigned projects—responsible for scope, schedule, budget, and client coordination
- Prepare and oversee development of plans, specifications, and estimates in accordance with FDOT and local standards
- Coordinate with public agencies, utility providers, and permitting authorities
- Conduct and/or oversee traffic analysis, safety studies, and roadway geometry design
- Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff
- Experience with Local Agency Program projects or FDOT coordination
- Familiarity with grant-funded transportation projects (e.g., Community Development Block Grant, Small Cities Block Grant, SCRAP)
- Experience developing cost estimates and managing subconsultants
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
