Go

Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, with meaningful senior-level ownership of production systems and the data layers behind them
  • Strong proficiency in Go; you should be comfortable writing performant, well-structured services and have opinions about how to organize a Go codebase as it grows
  • Deep experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and CockroachDB; you should understand query planning, indexing strategies, schema design for complex relational data, and how to keep queries performant as data grows to millions of rows
  • Experience designing and building APIs (gRPC, GraphQL, and REST) with attention to type safety, pagination, caching, filtering, and error handling
  • Proven experience of performance optimization on the backend: query optimization, connection pooling, caching layers, profiling under load, and understanding where bottlenecks actually live rather than where you assume they are
  • Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and backend security best practices for internal tooling
  • Experience owning deployment and operations for the services you build: Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, alerting, and incident response
  • Genuine curiosity about (or direct experience with) physical datacenter infrastructure
  • Strong data modeling instincts
  • Ability to work directly with infrastructure engineers (the end users of what you build) to understand their workflows, identify pain points, and translate messy real-world processes into clean data models and APIs
  • Comfort working on a newly formed team where you'll be making early architectural decisions that compound over time
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and own the data layer, APIs, and services that power the internal tooling for planning, visualization, and management of infrastructure across hundreds of sites
  • Develop data models and APIs that capture the complexity of datacenter infrastructure including devices, connectivity, cabling, power, cooling, and spatial relationships across racks, rows, and floors
  • Build high-throughput API services in Go (gRPC, GraphQL, and/or REST) that support data density and interaction speed with complex filtering, aggregation, and bulk operations across large datasets
  • Design and implement the backend architecture including service structure, data access patterns, caching strategy, and API contracts to scale with team and product scope
  • Create integrations with internal/external systems and data sources that feed infrastructure planning to reflect real-world state and planned builds
  • Define deployment and operational infrastructure for the services including Kubernetes manifests, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and reliability practices
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver rich user experiences built on top of backend services
  • Own how these services are deployed and run in production including scaling, redundancy and monitoring
Desired Qualifications
  • Direct experience with datacenter operations, infrastructure planning, or familiarity with DCIM tools like NetBox, Infrahub or Sunbird
  • Experience with CockroachDB specifically, including its distributed SQL model and operational characteristics
  • Experience building systems that handle complex graph-like or hierarchical relational data (asset trees, network topologies, dependency graphs)
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code, Terraform, or GitOps workflows
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, change data capture, or audit logging for compliance-sensitive systems

CoreWeave provides cloud computing resources tailored for GPU-accelerated workloads. It offers high-performance, pay-as-you-go access to NVIDIA GPU hardware hosted on bare-metal servers managed by Kubernetes, enabling tasks such as Generative AI, machine learning, LLM inference, VFX rendering, and pixel streaming. Users run GPU-intensive workloads on a fully managed, serverless Kubernetes platform without needing to own or manage the underlying hardware. The company differentiates itself by specializing in GPU workloads, offering a wide range of NVIDIA GPUs, and reducing operational burden through its bare-metal, Kubernetes-based infrastructure. CoreWeave’s goal is to deliver scalable, cost-efficient, high-performance infrastructure for AI, HPC, and digital content creation workloads.

Nebius surges 70% YTD versus CoreWeave's 40% in AI infrastructure race

Two AI infrastructure providers, Nebius Group and CoreWeave, are competing for dominance in the GPU compute leasing market. Nebius has outperformed year-to-date, rising 70% compared to CoreWeave's 40%, though both have surged since their IPOs last March. Nebius reported fourth-quarter revenue of $227.7 million, up 547% year-over-year, and guided 2026 revenue to $33.4 billion. The company secured a $27 billion deal with Meta Platforms and received a $2 billion investment from Nvidia for joint infrastructure development. Nebius targets over 3 gigawatts of contracted power by year-end 2026. CoreWeave posted fiscal 2025 revenue of $5.13 billion with a revenue backlog of $66.8 billion. Analysts project 2026 revenue around $12.5 billion, roughly four times Nebius's estimate, positioning CoreWeave as the larger-scale player.

Meta signs $21B AI cloud deal with CoreWeave through 2032

CoreWeave has secured a $21 billion long-term agreement with Meta Platforms to provide AI cloud capacity through December 2032, utilising Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform. This follows an existing $14.2 billion deal with Meta through 2031. Despite recent major contracts, including a $6.5 billion agreement with OpenAI in September 2025, CRWV stock remains 40% below its June 2025 highs. The company posted Q4 2025 revenue of $1.6 billion and full-year revenue of $5.1 billion, but reported a $452 million quarterly net loss. CoreWeave faces financial challenges with $29.82 billion in total debt against just $3.16 billion in cash, resulting in interest costs representing 23.5% of revenue. Whilst the stock has gained 54% year-to-date, its heavy debt reliance raises concerns about sustainability.
