Role and Responsibilities:

As a Principal IT Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing various services within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Your responsibilities will span across multiple domains, including Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, Entra ID, and Purview. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations, security, and compliance. This role will be instrumental in executing the IT/cloud strategy of the company with the ability to implement cutting-edge platforms supporting our internal business units and customers.

Based in Santa Clara, this position requires an in-person presence, offering a unique opportunity to impact our global operations directly.

Basic Qualifications

• Proven 10+ years of experience in administering Microsoft 365 products such as Exchange, Intune, Defender, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc.  
• Expertise in PowerShell scripting and related tools to automate processes and optimize services. 
• Strong knowledge of IT security and compliance, especially in cloud and collaboration environments.  
• Strong communication and documentation skills.   
• Excellent organization and time management skills.  
• Demonstrated positive customer-orientation in service delivery while thinking logically and acting decisively in critical situations.  
• Ability to provide after-hours support.  
• Certifications in Microsoft 365 such as Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security Administrator Associate, and Identity and Access Administrator Associate. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment 
• Authorized to work in the US.

Required Experience

• Manage and oversee the M365 environment, including Intune, Defender, Entra ID, Exchange, Purview and SharePoint. 
• Implement and manage security policies specific to the Microsoft environment. 
• Provide end-user support for Microsoft products and related tools. Develop and deliver training materials to enhance staff competency in using collaboration platforms.  
• Perform system administration tasks, including adding and removing users, user groups and accounts; manages authentication, authorization, and access control. 

Preferred Experience 

• Perform backups and recovery procedures.  
• Configure, optimize, fine-tune, monitor and maintain network systems, server operating systems, virtual machines, and system applications. 

The base salary range is $160,000 - $240,000. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
