SoloPulse develops deep-tech radar sensing by using proprietary wave theory algorithms to greatly improve resolution and speed. Its core product is a sensor that can detect objects across all ranges simultaneously using a single electromagnetic pulse, and it can be added to existing radar systems through a firmware update rather than full hardware changes. This makes it easier and cheaper for customers, offering about ten times higher resolution and thousandfold faster processing, with a dual-use focus on commercial markets like ADAS and defense. The company aims to broaden radar perception across automotive, robotics, surveillance, and smart devices by making high-resolution sensing practical and affordable.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • SoloPulse raised $7.15 million in January 2025 from First Spark Venture and Georgia Tech Foundation.
  • Army xTechIgnite opens Army SBIR pathways worth up to $2 million.
  • Recent hiring across DSP, systems, and software roles shows active expansion.

What critics are saying

  • The core radar rewrite remains unproven outside selective demos and competitions.
  • Huntsville clearance-heavy hiring signals defense dependence before automotive revenue materializes.
  • A failed product pivot after the January 2025 seed round would threaten survival.

What makes SoloPulse unique

  • SoloPulse won Army xTechIgnite in July 2025 for ADAS radar.
  • Its firmware-upgrade pitch targets existing radar stacks, not full sensor replacements.
  • Atlanta roots with Georgia Tech, DARPA, and First Spark Ventures reinforce credibility.
