Requirements
  • Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program, an internship with experience in neuropsychology, and a postdoctoral fellowship with specialization in neuropsychology.
  • Applicants must be eligible for state licensure and be board eligible/board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology.
  • For appointment at the Professor rank, Board Certification (ABPP) in neuropsychology is required.
  • Experience providing pre-surgical evaluations with patients with movement disorders is expected.
  • The clinical practice model is based on neuropsychologist interview and interpretation, supported by psychometrist-administered testing.
Responsibilities
  • Provide neuropsychological services for adult patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions such as memory disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and others.
  • Join multidisciplinary teams to provide neuropsychological services.
  • Possibly supervise interns and postdoctoral neuropsychology fellows in the APPCN-member program.
  • Provide teaching opportunities with medical students and residents within the department and broader Health Sciences Center on topics relevant to psychology/neuropsychology.
  • Collaborate on research activities as developed based on applicant interest.
  • Clinical duties include interviewing patients, interpreting results, and overseeing psychometrist-administered testing.
  • Participation in pre-surgical evaluations with patients with movement disorders (as part of clinical duties).
