Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Supervisory experience managing a diverse workforce.
  • The ability to work successfully in high-pressure and rapidly changing situations with an even temperament.
  • Knowledge of accounting basics and principles, with strong financial and budgetary management skills.
  • An in-depth understanding of general construction practices and/or installation.
  • Knowledge of statistical mathematics used in strategic planning and sales and marketing.
  • Organization and attentiveness to goals and deadlines, with strong project management skills.
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Contracting Division, including oversight of contracts, personnel, safe work practices, business metrics, and business development, to achieve corporate and divisional goals.
  • Assist in defining and implementing work strategies to ensure profitability.
  • Provide supervision and oversight to sales and estimating personnel.
  • Research bid projects, track awards, and set pricing strategies.
  • Review and report on sales successes and missed opportunities.
  • Provide supervision and oversight to field installation personnel.
  • Collaborate with Field Superintendents to ensure appropriate field labor production staffing levels, work quality, and personnel performance.
  • Review and maintain accurate production reports and field training records, and provide team meetings as appropriate.
  • Oversee and maintain safety policies and records.
  • Review and maintain Master Contract Agreements, Subcontractor Agreements, and specific project contracts.
  • Direct appropriate personnel as needed to comply with contract requirements.
  • Manage contract issues and intervene as appropriate between customers and subcontractors on behalf of FSC.
  • Review and maintain records to track and report project performance.
  • Provide managerial review of financial reports for FSC.
  • Develop and maintain metrics to measure divisional success, expenses, and profitability.
  • Analyze construction markets through trade publications and customer contact.
  • Build market strategies based on FSC goals, customer needs, and resource availability.
  • Travel frequently within the market area and to required trade association events.
  • Perform financial reviews and assessments.
  • Write business reports, including strategic development and pro forma analysis.
  • Lead and direct meetings involving personnel, vendors, and customers.
  • Communicate with and motivate subordinates to achieve strategic goals.
Desired Qualifications
  • A college degree in a related field.
  • Experience and understanding of Lean Principles in production processes.
