Responsibilities

Plan and execute system-level Bluetooth characterization and optimization plans.
Track and debug protocol and end-to-end issues from lab or field; work with cross-functional teams for mitigation plans.
Analyze and optimize systems and protocol characterization results.
Collaborate with automation developers to build internal automated test systems.
Work with test equipment vendors to debug test system issues and optimize test solutions.
Coordinate with chipset vendors and internal teams for Bluetooth performance optimization.
Conduct Bluetooth system tests using Bluetooth test tools, devices, and call boxes.
Analyze logs and troubleshoot Bluetooth system issues from both field and lab environments.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
4+ years of relevant industry experience with Bluetooth systems.
In-depth knowledge of Bluetooth MAC and profile layers.
Familiarity with Bluetooth SIG specifications (Bluetooth and BLE).
Hands-on experience with Bluetooth test tools and RF systems.
Practical knowledge of PHY concepts such as RSSI, SNR, modulation, and link budget.
Experience with link setup and protocols such as TCP, UDP.
Proficiency in scripting and automation, preferably with Python.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills related to Bluetooth protocol, firmware, and hardware.

Preferred Requirements

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in dimensional engineering and variation simulation and analysis.
Experience in high-volume product industries such as consumer tech, automotive, or medical devices.
Knowledge of 3D CAD modeling (NX preferred) and statistical software like Minitab, Quantum XL, or Jump.
Familiarity with Bluetooth profiles such as A2DP, HFP, and AVRCP.
Knowledge of BLE audio and protocol stack development.
Experience working with Bluetooth drivers and integration issues across different operating systems.
