Roles and Responsibilities:
Job Summary/Overview:
The Facilities HVAC Maintenance Manager role at the Taylor Samsung site is responsible for the daily operation of the maintenance department supporting Fab central utility operations. This is a manager role with (3) Supervisors, (2) Reliability Engineers, (1) Piping Manager, and (2) Planner/Schedulers as direct reports. This role will also manage a contractor workforce of ~30 people to perform mechanical and instrument maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment. This individual is responsible for ensuring accurate and safe completion of preventative maintenance programs through efficient planning/scheduling, directing, and coordination. The Maintenance Manager fosters a culture of safety by educating employees on safety standards, hazard recognition, and expectation; and promotes a quality mindset through continuously improving processes, policies, and procedures.
Specific Job Duties:
• Provides leadership and coaching to a team of Maintenance Supervisors and a subordinate team of 50+ technicians and engineers.
• Partners with Operations and Engineering to identify, coordinate, and execute planned and unplanned maintenance across site.
• Participates collaboratively with other leaders in the development of overall objectives and long-term goals of the organization.
• Ensures that maintenance and engineering activities are conducted in compliance with site safety rules.
• Establishes, implements, and monitors guidelines and procedures for the maintenance team.
• Manages the organization to develop & hit key metrics to measure & improve performance.
• Deploys a proactive equipment management philosophy which utilizes maintenance planning and scheduling to improve team efficiency.
• Accountable for the utilization of CMMS and the team’s ability to manage assets and improve equipment reliability.
• Monitors equipment maintenance and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and requirements.
• Manages and assesses the need for service agreements with 3rd party providers or OEM representatives.
• Establishes benchmarking programs to study and implement industry best known practices.
• Establishes talent pipelines by fostering partnerships with local organizations and institutions.
• Demonstrates deep level of knowledge of industrial maintenance programs and best-practices.
• Strong technical understanding of industrial level facilities systems, such as: Chill water, Steam, Condenser water, CDA, Air Handling, Process Vac, and Exhaust abatement.

Skills and Qualifications:
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred or commensurate experience.
• 10+ years of experience in an industrial facilities environment.
• 3+ years of experience in an industrial facilities leadership role.
• Maintenance & Reliability certification(s).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools
• Experience as leader of a team of Engineers and/or Technicians.
• Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams and leading other leaders
• Proven ability to develop & drive a cohesive strategy for a large organization.

• Thorough knowledge of 8D/RCCA process for incident investigation & response.
• Knowledge of the operation of an operating Semiconductor Facilities Plant.

• Demonstrate ability to build strong, influential relationships with leaders across an organization.
