Requirements
- 2-3 years in a similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- Hands-on experience instrumenting vehicles with relevant thermal sensors and data acquisition systems
- Working knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and relevant debug tools
- Experience running and maintaining a variety of vehicle level and component level tests
- Team first mentality
- Innate curiosity about all things automotive
- Ability to work autonomously
- No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years
- No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years
- Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle
- Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring
Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain vehicle and component level tests
- Assist in the development of mule test planning high level timing plans, mule/prototype builds, data analysis
- Control system data collection and some calibration
- Work cross-functionally with HVAC, thermal, and controls development teams to ensure performance of aerothermal systems
- Identify, document, and highlight system design gaps and vehicle issues during all phases of testing
- Create test design documentation including test instructions, specifications, drawings and verification plans
- Drive prototype vehicles during certain tests
- Engage in subjective evaluation to identify system failure modes
