Requirements
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated strong interest and passion for Texas Athletics.
  • Must be a current undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin enrolled in at least 12 class hours each semester.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • A valid Texas driver's license that is not currently suspended or revoked and an acceptable driving record are required.
  • The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence.
  • If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
  • The position requires a Class C operator's driver's license.
  • The applicant must be able to perform all essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
  • Support the rowing staff with daily practice operations, including setting up coaching launches and maintaining equipment.
  • Learn and apply proper equipment maintenance and safety procedures for the sport of rowing.
  • Assist with processing laundry and distributing Nike equipment and apparel to the team and staff.
  • Manage nutrition-station stocking and maintain inventory of stock.
  • Use sports inventory management systems to organize and control equipment and apparel inventory while adhering to financial budgets.
  • Support the Director of Operations with rowing office tasks, including administrative assistance with expense-report systems, stocking office supplies, and maintaining office and team lounge areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with applicable laws, policies, rules, and regulations of the University, the NCAA, the conference, and other governing bodies.
  • Report suspected violations of applicable laws, policies, rules, or regulations to the appropriate Texas Athletics or human-resources personnel.
  • Cooperate fully with investigations by providing complete and accurate information and not influencing others during an investigation.
  • Report prohibited conduct covered by Title IX when required as a non-confidential employee.
  • Participate in assigned education and training programs.
  • Obtain prior written approval for and report outside activities and outside income.
