Requirements
  • Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Sustainability, Environmental Economics and Policy
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0 (no rounding)
  • Expected graduation date December 2025 and beyond
  • 12 completed semester hours at a 4-year university prior to start of internship or currently participating in a Caterpillar student program
Responsibilities
  • Work on and provide leadership on exciting projects, such as evaluating and developing climate related strategies
  • Investigate emerging disclosures and benchmarking
  • Understand investor ratings of our sustainability performance
  • Promote sustainability messaging to increase employee engagement
  • Work closely with internal leadership to develop and implement sustainability/ESG strategies and meet objectives
  • Present work to leaders at the end of the internship
Desired Qualifications
  • Leadership Experience or Skills, particularly in sustainability-related areas
  • Relevant internship or work experience in functional field or demonstrated eager to immerse in directed research
  • Ability to work with minimal to modest supervision
  • Excellent written communications skills; PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills well-developed
  • Ability to articulate analytical data and summarize for executive or leadership readers
