Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree a plus.
  • CPA required.
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on technical accounting and complex transaction analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise across US GAAP technical accounting topics.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining accounting policy frameworks at a public company.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly document and present complex accounting conclusions to leadership, auditors, and the audit committee.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority across legal, FP&A, investor relations, and business operations.
  • Prior SEC filing experience; familiarity with Workiva preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Company’s primary technical accounting expert and advisor on all complex accounting matters under US GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Research, document, and communicate accounting positions for complex and non-routine transactions, including new product structures, financing arrangements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Proactively engage with business operations, legal, finance, and FP&A teams to consult on developing or anticipated transactions before they are executed.
  • Monitor FASB and SEC standard-setting activities; assess the impact of new pronouncements and lead adoption planning and implementation.
  • Revenue Recognition: Lead accounting for automotive vehicle and robotics sales; assess variable consideration, contract modifications, and principal vs. agent determinations.
  • Debt & Notes Payable: Account for complex debt instruments including secured and unsecured promissory notes, related-party notes payable, convertible instruments, and debt modifications or extinguishments.
  • Warrant Accounting: Determine and maintain classification (equity vs. liability) for public warrants, PIPE warrants, and other warrant instruments; manage quarterly remeasurement and fair value disclosures.
  • Leases: Oversee accounting for the Company’s significant operating lease portfolio; assess lease modifications and impairments.
  • Stock-Based Compensation: Oversee accounting for equity awards including stock options and earnout shares; apply Black-Scholes and other valuation models; manage forfeiture policy and reverse stock split adjustments.
  • Stockholders’ Equity & EPS: Account for complex equity transactions including Class A and Class B Common Stock, reverse stock splits, dilutive securities, and EPS calculations including potentially dilutive shares excluded from computation.
  • VIE / Consolidation: Assess and maintain the Company’s consolidation framework, including evaluation of variable interest entities and foreign subsidiaries.
  • Foreign Currency & Foreign Operations: Manage accounting for the Company’s foreign subsidiaries, including translation of subsidiary financials, CTA, and remeasurement of foreign-denominated balances.
  • Fair Value Measurements: Oversee fair value hierarchy disclosures for warrant liabilities, equity securities, and debt; work with external valuation specialists where required.
  • Impairment of Long-Lived Assets & ROU Assets: Monitor triggering events and perform or review impairment assessments, including impairment analyses for right-of-use assets and production equipment.
  • Accounting Policy Management: Own and maintain the Company’s accounting policy library; establish new policies as the Company’s business evolves.
  • Ensure accounting policies are documented, approved, communicated, and consistently applied across the organization.
  • Lead periodic policy reviews and updates in response to new standards, SEC guidance, or changes in business operations.
  • SEC Reporting Support: Collaborate with the Director of SEC Reporting to ensure technical accounting positions are accurately and completely reflected in 10-K and 10-Q filings, including footnotes, MD&A, and critical accounting estimates disclosures.
  • Review and provide technical guidance on financial statement footnotes covering areas within your technical accounting scope (debt, warrants, leases, SBC, equity, etc.).
  • Assist with Form 8-K filings and other disclosures involving complex accounting matters as needed.
  • Support interactions with external auditors on technical accounting matters and provide necessary documentation to support audit conclusions.
  • Internal controls & Process Improvement: Oversee the design and maintenance of internal controls related to technical accounting areas, particularly for complex transactions and areas of management judgment.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of technical accounting workflows.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff on technical accounting matters; serve as an internal resource for GAAP questions across the finance organization.]

Faraday Future targets year-end robot factory launch, first EAI device by February 2027

Faraday Future has announced a three-phase roadmap for its "Built in USA" robotics manufacturing programme. The California-based company aims to bring its robot factory online by year-end, with the first product expected off the line in February 2027. The initiative focuses on establishing US-based research, production and supply chain capabilities for embodied AI devices whilst complying with Federal Communications Commission policies. Two new products are planned: Next Futurist, a humanoid robot for research and industrial applications, and Next Aegis, a quadruped robot for education and security uses. Faraday Future has launched partner recruitment for its distribution network and unveiled its PAR Revenue Flywheel model, offering partners both sales margins and recurring income. The company has established education partnerships with two California school districts covering approximately 22 schools.

Faraday Future reported second quarter 2026 results with revenue surging to $836,000, up more than 1,400% year-over-year from $54,000. The company recorded $1.35 million in revenue for the first half of 2026. The California-based company reduced its cost of revenue by 57% year-over-year to $11.54 million, whilst narrowing its net loss by 69% to $38.96 million. Total liabilities decreased by over $100 million compared to the previous year. Faraday Future upgraded its robotics roadmap to a "Four-Core Full-Stack AI" ecosystem strategy, integrating brain technology, devices, productivity solutions, and a data factory. The company generated $76.37 million in net cash inflows from financing activities during the first six months. The firm targets cumulative shipments exceeding 2,000 robotic units by year-end and aims to reduce total liabilities below $100 million within the next three to four quarters.
