Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Information Systems is desired, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT systems engineering is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience with Microsoft 365 administration and engineering is required.
  • Awareness of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is highly preferred.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365 architecture, licensing, and tenant management; Exchange Online; SharePoint Online; Microsoft Teams; and OneDrive.
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, Active Directory Connect, federation, single sign-on, Conditional Access, multifactor authentication, Zero Trust, role-based access control, least-privilege design, and identity lifecycle management.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Purview, data loss prevention, insider risk, electronic discovery, information protection, sensitivity labels, encryption, phishing protection, malware protection, and Safe Links and Attachments.
  • Expert-level knowledge of messaging and collaboration architecture, including mail routing, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol relays, hybrid Exchange, Teams telephony, external sharing, business-to-business collaboration, and governance strategies.
  • Deep understanding of Domain Name System, MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, certificates, Transport Layer Security, firewalls, proxies, endpoints, latency, and service connectivity.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement enterprise-grade Microsoft 365 solutions, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Lead architecture decisions for hybrid and cloud-first environments.
  • Develop and maintain identity and access strategies, including single sign-on, multifactor authentication, and Conditional Access.
  • Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 tenant, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Oversee user lifecycle management, licensing, and service configurations.
  • Monitor service health and proactively resolve issues.
  • Implement and manage Microsoft security and compliance solutions.
  • Configure data loss prevention, retention policies, electronic discovery, and insider risk controls.
  • Ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, identity protection, and role-based access control.
  • Manage hybrid identity integrations with on-premises Active Directory.
  • Implement modern authentication and certificate-based access.
  • Optimize Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive for business productivity.
  • Establish governance for collaboration tools, including lifecycle management and external sharing.
  • Support automation initiatives using Power Platform.
  • Lead migrations to Microsoft 365 from on-premises or third-party platforms.
  • Integrate Microsoft 365 services with enterprise applications and software-as-a-service platforms.
  • Develop automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.
  • Improve operational efficiency through scripting and process automation.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions.
  • Define policies, standards, and best practices for Microsoft 365 usage.
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Microsoft certification is desired.
  • Awareness of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is highly preferred.
