Requirements
  • A four-year construction, engineering, or related degree, or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.
  • At least ten years of experience and knowledge in construction, design, finance, and management.
  • Prior experience with a general contracting company or construction management firm on complex mid-to-large-scale projects.
  • A current state electrical contractor license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations.
  • Advanced understanding of construction and fabrication methods, processes, and supervision of large groups.
  • Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee and project performance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop the operations plan and direct overall activities to achieve total project objectives.
  • Manage budgeting, planning, staffing, safety, quality, and procurement.
  • Direct project activities through subordinate managers to optimize the use of equipment, facilities, and personnel.
  • Oversee multiple projects totaling $20 million or more.
  • Select and develop prospective business relationships based on competition, resources, risk, profit potential, and company capabilities.
  • Contact potential clients to identify their needs and sell company value, skills, and services.
  • Build long-term relationships with companies for electrical support.
  • Meet clients' needs before contract execution by providing advice, liaison, and planning services.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, public relations events, community activities, and client-related events.
  • Review and analyze expenditure, financial, and operations reports to identify requirements for increasing project profits.
  • Coordinate with project operational personnel to ensure project budgets are met.
  • Manage the financial aspects of contracts and perform routine cost analysis to protect the company's interests while maintaining client relationships.
  • Approve requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within the applicable operational budget limits.
  • Negotiate contracts with equipment and materials suppliers when required.
  • Review and understand contracts and negotiate contract terms.
  • Manage change orders with focus on cost, schedule, and scope.

  • Monitor safety, quality, and productivity across division or business unit operations, investigate serious situations, and implement corrective measures.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Division or Business Unit Director or as required by operating needs.
  • Manage, lead, and mentor direct reports.
  • Provide direct field supervision and coordinate with other departments for successful preconstruction and construction activities.
  • Travel regularly to project sites, up to 60%.

MasTec has priced a public offering of $650 million in senior notes due 2036. The notes will carry a 5.850% interest rate, payable semi-annually, and were priced at 99.656%. They will mature on 30 September 2036. The company intends to use the net proceeds primarily to repay some or all of its $600 million term loan, which matures on 26 June 2028, and to cover related fees and expenses. Any remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, potentially including repayment of existing debt under its senior unsecured credit facility. The offering is expected to close on 17 August 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. PNC Capital Markets, Truist Securities, Wells Fargo Securities, BofA Securities and J.P. Morgan Securities are serving as joint book-running managers.
