Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities
  • 3-5 years analytical experience, preferably in HR, in a large nationally disbursed company
  • Solid knowledge of benefit program practices, methodologies, and strategies
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures in order to ensure correct implementation
  • Strong understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with databases tools
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Proficient with HR Information Systems (HRIS); strongly prefer ADP WorkForce Now
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects
  • Experience building strong trusting relationships and using influencing strategies to gain support and achieve positive results
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus with a passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement
  • Impeccable follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, re-prioritize based on business demands coupled with a strong sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume workload and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts

Responsibilities
  • Administer benefit plans (U.S. - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, EAP, STD, LTC, LTC, Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, FSA, Cancer Guardian, etc.; Canada - Extended Health Care, Health Care Online, Dental Care, Life and AD&D, LTD, etc.; COBRA TPA) and retirement plans [U.S. 401(k) and Deferred Compensation Plan (DCP)]. Track for ACA and 401(k) eligibility
  • Facilitate all annual Open Enrollments (Canada: Rate Renewal) from start to finish. Coordinate with benefits brokers
  • Facilitate all U.S. and Canada IC/Agent Open Enrollments (i.e. U.S. - Lenox disability insurance and Augeo Benefits for the open marketplace; Canada - EHC, HCO, and Life & AD&D)
  • Assist employees with day-to-day benefit-related issues and inquiries
  • Communicate applicable annual notices
  • Participate in developing and implementing key HR projects, initiatives and programs which support the firm's goals and strategies
  • Participate in HR activities to support mergers and acquisitions
  • Participate in creating and/or editing HR forms, templates, job aides, checklists, and management training tools
  • Contribute to the performance appraisal process and the administration of the annual salary review program
  • Assists in the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of HR systems; Enhances data tracking and maintenance by ensuring HR systems are used to maximum system potential
  • Creates, generates, analyzes, and customizes simple and complex ad hoc and ongoing statistical summaries and special reports from HRIS
  • Creates complex benefit coding in HRIS (ADP WFN) for numerous company codes for open enrollments
  • Works with payroll team to coordinate system updates and data retrieval; Recommends business process improvements having a HRIS component and serves on teams to implement process changes
  • Manages, reconciles, and submits the monthly benefits invoices for timely and accurate processing by Accounts Payable
  • Administers 401(k) filings, discrimination testing and annual compliance audits, assists in 5500 filings, etc
  • Facilitates the preparation and timely filing of required benefits reporting
  • Maintains ADP Home Page with monthly content
  • Creates and maintains MMWeb HR benefits pages content, News Articles, and documents
  • Identify and implement Wellness programs, events, flu vaccination, etc
  • Creates monthly Wellness/benefits news articles
  • Review, edit, submit annual 1095-C & 1094-C Forms
  • Produces all misc. monthly, quarterly and annual benefits-related reporting filings (state, city, and federal)
  • Create SalesForce entries for benefits-related issues associated with Employee Relations matters
  • Acts as the ADP Security Master
  • Manages the Human Resources Coordinator position. Has working knowledge of (and can perform) responsibilities, duties and tasks this position utilizes for daily activities
Desired Qualifications
  • PHR or SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Proficiency with SharePoint
  • Understanding of employment laws and practices in US and Canada
  • Experience with mergers/acquisitions to include due diligence, transition, change management, and integration
  • Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now
