The Finance Manager will play an integral role in the delivery of management and statutory reporting across multiple entities, currencies and geographies. They will ultimately be responsible for ensuring that accurate and timely financial information can be reported to the Board, external authorities and key business stakeholders. The Finance function operates at the heart of Rapha as a multi-functional, business facing department. Rapha is dynamic and we are looking for an individual who is happy to get into the detail to support the business and continue our growth as a world class omni-channel retailer.

The role and your skills

• Management and Financial Reporting
  • Deliver management and statutory reporting across multiple entities, currencies and geographies
  • Manage the month end close processes for UK, Europe, APAC and Group
  • Responsible for balance sheet integrity
  • Drive simplification, standardisation and continuous improvement of processes and controls to achieve effective financial reporting and operational processes
• Tax and Compliance
  • Key point of contact for statutory audit of UK and Group entities
  • Manage group tax compliance with outsourced support (VAT, PAYE, Corporate income tax etc)
  • Manage regional outsourced provider relationships to ensure compliance and value for money
• Financial Operations
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, ensuring controls and processes are robust and regularly reviewed
  • Work closely with Commercial Controller and Systems Analyst to ensure source data from other systems is correctly reflected in finance systems according to relevant accounting standards.
  • Manage the annual insurance renewal and key point of contact for broker requests and queries
• Business Partnering
  • Proactively builds relationships across the business
  • Manage central cost budgeting and control, including budget holder relationships
  • Manage capex and fixed asset budgets
  • Advise the business on risks and opportunities that present themselves and suitable courses of action to mitigate
  • Prepare reports and ad-hoc analysis for presentation to business stakeholders and external parties
  • Ability to explain technical accounting to non-finance teams in order to develop and support them
  • Works to solve hard problems
• Team Management & Leadership
  • Support the Head of Finance and Finance Director in the leadership of the finance function
  • Deputise for Head of Finance as appropriate
  • Manage Reporting team of 2x Management Accountants and 1x Financial Accountant
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable functions (1 Manager 3 other FTE)
  • Passion for developing and training team members

Do you have the following?

• ACA (or equivalent) qualified with at least 2 years post qualification experience preferably in a retail environment
• Highly computer literate, with particular reference to excel, accounting and management software
• Knowledge of using an ERP system
• Previous experience within a managerial role
• Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

• Great interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience of ERP implementation
