Requirements
  • A minimum of 7-8 years of relevant experience on complex Information Technology projects using an Agile or similar software engineering lifecycle and related tools, preferably including experience in Federal government technology environments.
  • Four years of experience supporting and testing cloud-based technology, such as Amazon Web Services.
  • Proven experience in achieving proficiency in new technologies quickly and enhancing the quality of designs and emerging technology solutions.
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing a modernized software application.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services native services, PostgreSQL, Tomcat, Java, Web Services Description Language, Domain Name System, Simple Object Access Protocol, Representational State Transfer, Extensible Markup Language, Customer Managed Keys, and Transport Layer Security.
  • Experience with client and stakeholder engagement, including senior-level leaders, and delivering work products for clients in a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and complex work environment while managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • U.S. citizenship only, with no dual citizenship.
  • Currently holds a Public Trust level clearance or has the ability to obtain and maintain a position of trust or Federal security clearance.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely and in person.
  • Technological proficiency, especially with Microsoft products and collaboration tools such as SharePoint.
  • Ability to work in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and travel to different locations.
Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to the Government chief architect by applying expertise in cloud solutions and the delivery of large, complex Information Technology solutions.
  • Develop innovative solutions across a range of technologies to meet future government business and technical needs.
  • Assess current systems and processes and help plan future program systems and processes to identify areas that may benefit from machine intelligence and smart technology.
  • Develop artificial intelligence solutions to advance government mission initiatives.
  • Work closely with a development team and clients to establish technical requirements and design for legacy application modernization.
  • Perform code reviews to understand legacy application software architecture and determine and document areas for improvement and focus.
  • Provide quality assurance and oversight.
  • Consult with application and industry subject matter experts to align business requirements with technical requirements.
  • Assist on additional Engineering team projects and initiatives as requested.
  • Collaborate with clients to solve complex problems, deliver client service, and achieve mission results.
  • Apply consulting, business analysis, and communication skills to identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions to the team and clients.
  • Support new business, company strategic functions, and operational initiatives as a steward of the company.
