Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with a minimum of four years of relevant education after secondary school
- A minimum of nine years of relevant professional experience
- Server management and operating system knowledge across UNIX, Linux, and Windows
- Experience with virtual servers such as VMware ESX is an asset
- Administration of backup and storage systems, with knowledge of HP backup and storage systems as an asset
- Knowledge of network infrastructure services including print server, DNS, NTP, etc.
- Active Directory (AD) / LDAP management
- Experience with email and antispam systems
- Experience with Network Access Server (NAS) and distributed file systems
- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems
- Replication and disaster recovery
- Document management systems
- Centralized deployment of software and updates
- Hardware/software inventory management
- Software compliance monitoring and enforcement
- Monitoring systems (configuration, customization, further development); knowledge of Nagios would be an asset
- Centralized IT security policy management
- Excellent analysis and problem solving
- Prioritizing incidents, requests and changes
- Experience in managing highly available environments and multiple site support
- Familiar with ITIL/ITIL V3 concepts
- Script development skills (PHP, Perl, C Shell, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Support of mail servers and mail relays for eu-LISA core business systems (SISII and VIS)
- IT support, ranging from simple desktop and peripheral support to complex server and network issues
Desired Qualifications
- VMware ESX would be an asset
- HP backup and storage systems would be an asset
- Nagios infrastructure monitoring software knowledge would be an asset
