  • Have strong academic credentials and a demonstrated interest in public service.
  • Be a rising third-year or advanced-degree law student at the start of the Summer 2027 internship.
  • Submit a resume, cover letter, and writing sample in a single document.
  • Have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Be proficient with Westlaw and other legal research platforms.
  • Have significant experience with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation.
  • Have demonstrated public-interest or public-service interest or experience.
  • Be able to work effectively in an in-office, open-office environment with moderate noise.
  • Maintain regular and reliable job attendance.
  • Exhibit respect and understanding of others to maintain professional relationships.
  • Exercise independent judgment when evaluating options and making sound decisions.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research.
  • Draft memoranda, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Assist in civil discovery.
  • Interview current and potential clients.
  • Work with outside co-counsel.
  • Participate in litigation strategy.
